Cedar Falls Police: Woman Films as Little Brother Lights Himself on Fire

Cedar Falls Police arrested a Waverly woman after she reportedly filmed her little brother while he lit himself on fire.
Police said Amanda Jo Erks, 21, can be heard talking on a video, which was posted on Facebook, in which her brother, 15, sprayed himself with cologne and then lit himself on fire.
"Please don't try this at home, we are professionals; we've been doing this forever," Erks can be heard saying in the video, according to police.

Police said the video showed Erks' 1-year-old daughter in a crib five or six feet from where the boy was lighting himself on fire.
Police said there were no injuries in the incident.

She was arrested April 29 and charged with child endangerment.
Erks admitted to filming the video, police said. Police said they were aware of the video because a family called authorities to report it. Police said the video was filmed in a mobile home in the 2500 block of Union Road
Erks didn't have a listed phone number.
