Family Website: Cedar Falls Sailor Lost Legs, Left Arm and Right Hand in Afghanistan
Taylor Morris, a member of the Navy serving in Afghanistan, has been injured, according to the website created by friends and family.
A Cedar Falls man, Taylor Morris, 23, was badly injured in Afghanistan last week, according to a website account set up by his friends and family.
The website, CaringBridge.org, includes a narrative of Morris's injuries. According to an entry on the site, Morris, a petty officer with the Navy, was injured in action May 3. The website said he lost both legs, his left arm from the bicep down and his right hand.
Entries written on the site, including by his mother Juli Morris, say Taylor Morris has been flown to the United States and is awake and recovering.

His Navy biography says Morris is an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician Second Class. He was deployed to Afghanistan in February and was supposed to return this August, the website said.
