The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Black Hawk County.
At 9:45 a.m. Tuesday the Cedar River was at 87.6 feet. The flood stage is 88 feet. The river could rise above flood stage this afternoon and continue rising to 88.2 feet this evening before dropping Wednesday.
The warning is in effect until early Wednesday morning.
