Flood Warning for Cedar River Through Friday Morning: Cedar Falls Weather Alert
A flood warning is in effect for nearly a week - until Friday morning.

With more rain in the forecast, the National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a flood warning for Cedar Falls that is slated to last through Friday morning.
The warning is for the west fork of the Cedar River to the Cedar Falls-Waterloo city limits.
According to the weather service, at 9:45 a.m. Saturday the river was at 83.8 feet, 4.2 feet below the flood stage, which is 88 feet. No flooding is currently occurring, but minor flooding is forecast.

The warning said the river is forecast to rise to flood stage Monday morning and continue rising to 89.9 feet by Wednesday morning. It is forecast to return below the flood stage early Friday morning.
The Weather Service said that at 90 feet, water covers the north half of the beach house parking lot and the north half of Tourist Park.
