Cedar Falls Weather: Midwest Storm Could Blow Through with More Snow on Tuesday and Wednesday

Ready for some more snow?

After winter storm Q dumped a blanket of the white stuff last week, another storm is blowing across the Midwest and is expected to bring a few more inches of snow.

There's a 60 percent chance of percipitation on Tuesday with accumulation of up to 3 inches, and there's a 30 percent chance of snow on Wednesday.

With temperatures hovering just about or right at freezing, a degree or two either way could determine whether we see snow or rain. 

Here's what we are looking at for the next few days from the National Weather Service forecast:

• Monday Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. Calm wind becoming east northeast 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
• Monday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Blustery, with a northeast wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
• Tuesday Snow likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Windy, with a north northeast wind 17 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
• Tuesday Night A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
• Wednesday A 30 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Breezy.
• Wednesday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Blustery.
