Cedar Valley Bands Joining Wu-Tang Clan, David Byrne and St. Vincent at 80/35 Festival
Fans of 40 music acts will converge on Des Moines this weekend for the 80/35 music festival at Western Gateway Park.

The headliners at this weekend's 80/35 music festival are former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne with St. Vincent and the Wu Tang Clan.
But crowds from across the state and the Midwest will be in Des Moines to catch a showcase of progressive musical styles on three stages.
Local favorites include Mr. Baber's Neighbors, DJ Bui, and experienced DJ Jesse Jamz, all from Des Moines, plus Iowa City groups Euforquestra and Emperors Club, longtime Cedar Falls favorite House of Large Sizes and Iowa Public Radio play in winners, Dylan Sires and Neighbors, of Waterloo.
The main stage features Byrne and St. Vincent on Friday, July 5; the doors open at 4 p.m., and the show starts at 5 p.m. Wu Tang Clan is the featured act on Saturday, July 6; doors open at 11 a.m., the show starts at noon.
All performances are in downtown Des Moines at Western Gateway Park.
