CFU's Energy and Environmental Fair Will Offer Food, Fun, Information and More Saturday
CFU's annual showcase of ways you can save energy, save money and save the earth is Saturday.

Bring your family and join your friends at the Energy & Environmental Fair, CFU’s annual showcase of ways you can save energy, save money and save the earth. The event returns to CFU’s campus at Utility Parkway and Waterloo Road on August 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It’s also a customer appreciation day, so admission, parking, kids’ activities, welcome gifts and lunch from the grill are all free for Energy Fair guests.

In 2013, we're celebrating 125 years of community-owned service in Cedar Falls! We'll have cake to mark the occasion and information about CFU's role supporting our community.
HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL
Free, safe disposal of household hazardous waste, electronics and prescription drugs will be offered courtesy of the Black Hawk County Solid Waste Commission and City of Cedar Falls.

Please note that the waste station will be located west of Waterloo Road, in the Public Works parking lot at the corner of 15th & Bluff Streets. Please enter from Main Street on E 14th St, then turn right on Bluff. Complete information on materials accepted at the waste station.
INFORMATION SESSIONS
Experts will present 20 minute programs on basement/foundation construction and waterproofing and solar power. Bring your efficiency and home construction questions! There will be two open question and answer sessions with Iowa building expert Bill McAnally.
DISPLAYS AND EXHIBITS BY CFU AND LOCAL BUSINESSESÂ
Visit with CFU Energy Services representatives for information on free energy audits and CFU's cash rebates for energy saving home improvements, appliances, heating/cooling equipment and recycling. Browse a displays from local businesses to see a wide variety of energy efficient building materials, lighting, appliances, electronics, heating and cooling equipment and more.
POWER PLANT TOURS
CFU's Electric Production staff will offer tours of the Streeter Station power plant during the Energy Fair. Interested customers who are able to climb stairs may pick up a free tour ticket at our Welcome Center. Tours depart every half-hour starting at 9:30 a.m., and each tour is limited to 15 guests. Please note tours will not be available if the plant is producing electricity on the day of the Energy Fair.
TV AND INTERNET LOUNGEÂ
Step inside to see our newest products, including NFL RedZone and WATCHTVEVERYWHERE. Help Desk staff members will be on hand to answer your questions, set up CFU webmail on your mobile device and sign you up for CFU WiFi.Â
HANDS-ON FUN FOR KIDS!Â
This year kids can participate in hands on activities at the ISU Learning Farms Conservation Station. Kids can also get a balloon art animal or hat, get their faces painted and meet CFU's Power Pal at the Fair.
