Daniel Morrissey, Father of Evansdale Cousin Lyric Cook-Morrissey, Arrested on Probation Violation
Lyric Cook-Morrissey, 10, and her cousin Elizabeth Collins, 9, were kidnapped while riding their bikes in Evansdale. Their bodies were found in December.
Waterloo police have arrested Daniel Morrissey, the father of Lyric Cook-Morrissey, CBS 2 reported Tuesday:
Authorities say they took Morrissey into custody Monday night for violating his pre-trial probation. The 36-year-old is now in the Black Hawk County Jail on $365,000 bond.
Daniel Morrissey faces drug and domestic assault charges.

Lyric, 10, and her cousin Elizabeth Collins, 8, were kidnapped in July. The girls disappeared while riding their bikes near Meyers Lake in Evansdale July 13. Their bodies were found by hunters in Seven Bridges Wilderness Area in rural Bremer County Dec. 5.
The investigation into their deaths is ongoing, and no suspects have been named.

A $150,000 award is available for information leading to the capture of those responsible for the deaths. Anyone with information is asked to call the Evansdale Police Department at 319-232-6682 or the Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers at 855-300-TIPS (8477).
