Daniel Morrissey, the father of slain Evansdale girl Lyric Cook-Morrissey, has pleaded guilty to numerous drug charges authorities said took place between December 2012 and February 2013.

Morrissey, 37, was in court on charges of conspiracy to manufacture meth, ongoing criminal conduct, possession of simulated meth with intent to deliver, possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to deliver and possession of meth and marijuana.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported he pleaded guilty on Monday to four of the charges and entered Alford pleas on the other two. Alford pleas are not an admission of guilt but state the defendant would likely be found guilty in a trial. He also entered an Alford plea for a charge of assaulting Lyric's mother, Misty Morrissey.

Lyric, 10, and her cousin Elizabeth Collins, 8, went missing while riding their bikes near Meyers Lake in Evansdale July 13. Their bodies were found in the Seven Bridges Wildlife Area of Bremer County December 5. The search for their killer is ongoing.
