A domestic assault trial against Daniel Morrissey has been delayed.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports the trial, which was meant to start today, has been postponed due to witness scheduling issues. A new date has not been set.

Morrissey, 36, the father of Lyric Cook-Morrissey, pleaded not guilty to criminal misconduct and conspiracy to manufacture of methamphetamine earlier this month. Those charges will be heard in a separate trial.
