Flood Warning Issued for Black Hawk County
The Cedar River is forecast to rise to flood stage Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a flood warning for the Cedar River in Black Hawk County until Saturday morning.
At 11:45 p.m. Sunday, the river was at 85.4 feet, 2.6 feet below flood stage of 88 feet. No flooding is currently occurring, but moderate flooding is forecast, the Weather Service said.
The river is forecast to rise to flood stage Tuesday morning and continue rising to 92 feet, four feet above flood stage, by Thursday morning. It is forecast to go below flood stage Saturday morning.

At 91.2 feet, water covers portions of Lake Street, according to the warning.
