Memorial Ride Planned for 1-Year Anniversary of Lyric and Elizabeth's Disappearance
All proceeds are going to the Cedar Valley Crimestoppers and the Angels Memorial Park in Evansdale.

Saturday will mark one year since the unthinkable happened in Evansdale - cousins Lyric Cook-Morrissey, 10, and Elizabeth Collins, 8, were abducted while riding their bikes in broad daylight, on July 13, 2012.
To mark the one-year anniversary of the girls' disappearance, a "Memorial Ride and Drive" will be held Saturday.
All motorcycles and cars are welcome. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the ride starts at 11 a.m. The 126-mile ride begins and ends at Lofty's Lounge, 3480 Lafayette Road, in Evansdale. There will be food, music and prizes after the ride at Lofty's Lounge.Â
Registration is $20, with all proceeds going to the Cedar Valley Crimestoppers and the Angels Memorial Park in Evansdale.
The investigation into the disappearance and deaths of Lyric and Elizabeth is ongoing. The girls' bodies were discovered Dec. 5 in the Seven Bridges Wildlife Area in Bremer County.Anyone with information is asked to call the tip line at 319-232-6682 or Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers (1-855-300-TIPS) or email ourmissingiowagirls@dps.state.ia.us.
A reward of over $150,000 is available through Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers and the FBI for information in the case.
