More Rain in Forecast; Flood Warning Extended for Cedar Falls
The water is receding, but will that last?

The waters are receding across Iowa, but we're not in the clear yet.
In Cedar Falls, a flood warning for the Cedar River has been extended until Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service said at 3:45 a.m. Monday the water stage was 90.4 feet, or 2.4 feet above flood stage.
The water is forecast to go below flood stage early Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, there is more rain in the forecast, starting with a chance of showers tonight that ramps up into 80 percent chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday. The temperatures are forecast to stay cool, in the 60s and 70s all week.
Here's the outlook:
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Light south southeast wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Monday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Southeast wind 8 to 10 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. High near 65. Southeast wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. South southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west in the afternoon. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 70.
