He said that's why he opened MR Guns at 2021 Main St., the former location of Roots Market.

His store carries everything from handguns to revolvers to AR-15s, as well as accessories and ammunition. The store also does some gun repair, and Rosteck hopes to have gun safety classes in the future.

Rosteck, 62, lives between Waverly and Janesville. He retired from the construction business before deciding to open his new store.

He said his displeasure with President Obama was part of his motivation to open the store.

"I don't like the direction of this president," he said. "Our second amendment rights say we're able to be armed."

However, he did say Obama has been good for business. His stock is lower than he'd like, he said, because his suppliers are behind schedule - many gun manufacturers are currently are having trouble keeping up with demand.

"Obama's been the best gun salesman this country has ever seen," he said.
