PDCM Insurance Becomes First Blue Zones Designated Insurance Agency Worksite in Waterloo

PDCM Insurance announced on September 19, 2013 that its Waterloo, Iowa, location was designated a Blue Zones worksite, demonstrating the company’s commitment to the physical and emotional well-being of its employees. The Blue Zones Project™ is an initiative that employs evidence-based ways to help people live longer, better lives. Brought to Iowa through an innovative partnership between Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Healthways, the initiative encourages all Iowa communities to make healthy choices easier through permanent changes to environment, policy and social networks. PDCM Insurance is the first insurance agency in Waterloo to be designated as a Blue Zones worksite.

To achieve Blue Zones designation, 25 percent of PDCM’s employees in Waterloo completed a personal pledge to commit to small tasks that benefit their physical and emotional health.
