Update: Police Arrest 5 After Report of People Forcing Their Way Into Cedar Falls Home

Update 2:45 p.m.:

Cedar Falls Police have arrested five people they say are connected with a reported robbery.

Police said officers were called to the 700 block of West Ridgeway Avenue at 11:23 p.m. Thursday on a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

The victim told officers three people had forced their way into the residence. Police said the suspects displayed a weapon and took several items before leaving.

All five of those arrested Friday have been charged with one count of second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and one count of second-degree robbery, a class C felony.

Those charged are:

  • Stephen James Nicol, 20, of 1421 W. Seventh St.
  • Anthony Charles Smith, 37, of 4711 University Ave. Apt. 25
  • Jamie Lee Marie Bebee, 18, no permanent address
  • Joshua Marvion Hood, 21, of 4711 University Ave. Apt. 18
  • Andrew Jacob Anderson, 19, of 4711 University Ave. Apt. 18

All five were transported to the Black Hawk County Jail.

Police said officers were called to the 700 block of West Ridgeway Avenue at 11:23 p.m. Thursday on a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and an investigation is ongoing.
