Police: Man Stole Synthetic Marijuana, Rent Money from Roommate's Car

Cedar Falls Police arrested a Denver man they said stole $1,185 of rent money and synthetic marijuana from his roommate's car.
Police arrested Jacob Reed Oesterle, 21, at 11:02 a.m. April 9 at College Square Mall and charged him with third-degree burglary, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Police said a woman had parked her car at Clarion Inn, where she worked. When she came outside, she said she found her car's window pushed down and saw her vehicle had been gone through. She said her rent money, $1,185, was missing along with packages of synthetic marijuana and rolling papers that were hidden in her car.

The woman told officers her roommate, Oesterle, was responsible. When police found Oesterle in College Square Mall and told him they needed to speak with him, police said he replied that he knew the reason. Police said he admitted he had take the cash and synthetic marijuana and that several large purchases, a large amount of cash and packages of synthetic marijuana were found with him.
