Police: 2 in Cedar Falls Cited for Sale of Tobacco to a Minor
On January 31st the Cedar Falls Police Department, in cooperation with the Alcoholic Beverages Division, conducted tobacco compliance checks of all licensed businesses within Cedar Falls.

On January 31 the Cedar Falls Police Department, in cooperation with the Alcoholic Beverages Division, conducted tobacco compliance checks of all licensed businesses within Cedar Falls.Â
The compliance checks were done as part of the Iowa Pledge Program, whose mission is to educate local retailers and enforce tobacco laws.
A total of 31 licensed businesses were checked.

Cedar Falls Police said the following subjects were cited for sale of tobacco to a minor:
- Staci Langel, 18, Fareway, 214 N. Magnolia St.
- Samad Channar, 26, Liquor and Tobacco Outlet, 2128 College St.
A fine for employees who sell tobacco to a minor is $100, plus $60 court costs and a $35 surcharge.
