Police: UNI Student Stole Thousands of Dollars of Laptops at Campus Library

A University of Northern Iowa student is in custody after police said they found stolen electronics in his room.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported UNI police found four stolen laptops, worth a total of $3,181, in George R. Cole-Duvall's room in Bender Hall, a UNI dorm. Cole-Duvall, 20, was charged with second-degree theft on Monday.

Police said the four computers were reported stolen at Rod Library in April.

Another student, Chad Michael Malloy, 21, of Waterloo, was also arrested, the Courier reported. Police said Malloy sold one of the stolen computers for Cole-Duvall, to First Class Cell Phone Repair on May 1. Malloy was charged with second-degree theft.
