Two great events, taken from Cedar Falls Tourism:
July 26: Social Security - The Comedy, Oster Regent Theatre, July 26, 27, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. and August 4 at 2 p.m.
Social Security is a play by Andrew Bergman that focuses on trendy Manhattan art gallery owners Barbara and David Kahn, whose life is upended when her Mineola housewife sister Trudy deposits their eccentric mother Sophie on the couple's doorstep while she and her husband Martin head to Buffalo to rescue their sexually precocious college student daughter from a menage a trois with two men. Barbara and David introduce Sophie to suave nonagenarian artist Maurice Koenig, who offers to paint her portrait and soon begins to brighten her life in ways she never expected in her twilight years.

Featured Cedar Falls Facebook post of the day:
Cedar Falls Historical Society: "We are working on a more permanent children's area at the Victorian House, and are thinking about a wooden train area. This "couples" (excuse the pun) nicely with our train exhibit downstairs and the railroad items at the Ice House. If anyone has old Thomas the Tank Engine or Brio type wooden trains and track they would like to donate, please bring them by!"
Featured volunteer opportunity, from the Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley:
The Grout Museum District is holding “Pioneer Days” camp and needs volunteers to assist staff members with activities July 31 – August 1 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are needed.
