UNI Faculty Union Votes for 2 Percent Raise
United Faculty has OKed a two-year contract that pays professors 2 percent more in the first year and 2.2. percent more in the second year.

United Faculty has negotiated small salary increases for professors each of the next two years as part of a two-year contract with the Iowa Board of Regents.
The Regents are expected to sign off, according to a statement from the University of Northern Iowa faculty union. The union represents all of the 550 faculty at University of Northern Iowa.
The highlights of the contract include raises of 2% in the first year and 2.25% in the second year, as well as significant changes in internal procedures governing employment. UF and BoR also agreed to pilot a new procedure for student assessments.

“This contract represents a step forward for UNI faculty in terms of securing reasonable protection and fair compensation,” said Daniel Power, United Faculty President. “With the impending arrival of the new UNI President William Ruud, we look forward to working toward writing a new chapter for UNI.”
