University of Northern Iowa President Benjamin J. Allen will make a major announcement marking a milestone for UNI's teacher education program at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, in the Maucker Union, Old Central Ballroom.
The announcement will have a significant impact on students pursuing education careers and on faculty teaching and research. Allen will be joined by Gov. Terry Branstad and special guests.

The event is open to the public. Guests are encouraged to show their UNI spirit by wearing casual purple attire.
