With Valentine's Day around the corner I've gotten sucked into some nostalgic "how we met" stories.
University of Northern Iowa asked on its Facebook page: who met their sweetheart at UNI? In about an hour there were 38 tales.

I met my fiance my first day of class at UNI during my first class. She showed me around campus and it took off from there. Were getting married next year
I met Jon Flaherty in the fall of '87 on my 1st night working in the concession stands at the UNI Dome....I was a sophomore & he was a freshman. We started dating on Valentines Day '88, got engaged on Valentines Day '90 at Gold Falls Apts. Married in '91---still together & still best friends!
