Watch: Taylor Morris, Danielle Kelly on the Today Show

Taylor Morris, Cedar Falls' hometown hero, and his girlfriend Danielle Kelly were on The Today Show Monday morning, talking about their relationship and the journey they've been on since Morris, 23, was injured in Afghanistan in May.

Morris, an explosive detection and disposal expert with the Navy, lost parts of all four limbs in a bomb explosion. He has been recovering at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C., .

On Sept. 15, the website Buzzfeed posted "A Love Story In 22 Pictures," featuring the tale of Morris and Kelly's relationship through photos, most taken by Cedar Falls photographer Tim Dodd. That post quickly became the site's most popular story. The story went viral from there, leading to the Today Show interview.
