Watch: UNI Students Learn Balance Through 'Slacklining' - Like Tightrope Walking, But Not

What is slacklining? It's like tightrope walking, except the line has plenty of slack and moves up and down.

It's similar to tightrope walking, only the line is not taut. It has slack - thus the name - and moves up and down as the walkers cross it.

Some University of Northern Iowa students have taken up the activity. On April 30, they had strung their lines between trees near the UNI Campanile.

He said he's been slacklining for about six months. He said it helps him relax and clear his mind.
