Updated: Waterloo Man Fatally Stabbed; Cedar Falls Woman Charged With Murder
A Cedar Falls woman is in custody after a Waterloo man was fatally stabbed.

Update 10 a.m.:
Bond has been set at $1 million for Kristie Kelly Clark-Richardson, 34, of Cedar Falls, who was charged with first degree-murder in the Monday stabbing death of Keon Dale, 38, of Waterloo.
Clark-Richardson had her initial court appearance Tuesday morning, the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported. Judge Joseph Moothart set an April 5 preliminary hearing date.

A Cedar Falls woman has been charged with first-degree murder following a deadly altercation with her boyfriend late Monday evening, according to police and news reports.

Keon Dale, 38, of Waterloo, was pronounced dead at the scene, at 127 Quincy Street in Waterloo, according to a news release from Waterloo Police. Police say he suffered injuries consistent with being stabbed.
Waterloo Police arrested Kristie Kelly Clark-Richardson, 34, of Cedar Falls. Police said officers interviewed her and she was later charged with first-degree murder. She is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail.
Just before midnight Monday, police said they responded to a report of a man down in front of 127 Quincy Street and found Dale, who was unresponsive.
An autopsy is being scheduled in Ankeny to determine the cause of death, and police said no further details are being released at this time.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports Clark-Richardson told police Dale, her boyfriend, had attacked her:
Clark told police she had been at the house Monday night and said Dale had assaulted her and attempted to strangle her before she ran out to her vehicle, court records state.
She also told authorities she had scratched Dale during the incident, and officers noticed scratch marks on Dale's neck, records state.
Witnesses told police they heard a confrontation between the two throughout the evening, records state, and one witness also told police that Clark was heard over the phone saying she had stabbed Dale.
