Waterloo Man Seriously Injured in Cedar Falls Rollover Crash

Police said a Waterloo man received life-threatening injuries when he was thrown from his vehicle when it crashed in Cedar Falls.

Anthony James Smith, 25, of Waterloo, was transported to Allen Hospital.

Cedar Falls Police said the accident happened around 7 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Ford Road and Lone Tree Road.

Police said preliminary investigation and witness reports indicate a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling southbound in the 3100 block of Ford Road in Cedar Falls when it lost control and rolled on the roadway.  Smith, the driver and only occupant, was ejected from the vehicle.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
