What's Open and What's Closed on Presidents' Day?

Presidents' Day is Monday. Take a look at what's open and what's closed in Cedar Falls on the holiday.

Formerly known as George Washington's birthday, Presidents' Day is celebrated the third Monday of February -- Feb. 18 this year -- and is considered a federal holiday.

Many state and federal offices are closed that day. In Cedar Falls, however, all city offices will be open. Cedar Falls schools, the Cedar Falls Public Library and the Cedar Falls Recreation Center will also be open. The Hearst Center for the Arts is closed every Monday.

Presidents' Day is a postal holiday, which means there is no mail delivery Feb. 18. Delivery will resume the next day.
