Update: UNI Cancels Night Classes, Black Hawk County Tow Ban and More Winter Storm Magnus News
The snow continued to fall as UNI canceled night classes Wednesday.

Update 2:30 p.m. Wednesday:
University of Northern Iowa classes are canceled as of 4 p.m. today. See www.uni.edu for more information. Other cancellation notices will be posted on the university's website.

Snow continued to fall on Cedar Falls Wednesday morning, a snow emergency and a tow ban were in effect.
Black Hawk County issued a tow ban and the Iowa DOT said travel was not advised on highways and interstates surrounding the Cedar Falls area. Find road conditions at 511ia.org.

Black Hawk County postponed Wednesday garbage collection to Thursday. Waterloo also postponed Wed. garbage collection until Sat. Cedar Falls, however, announced Wed. garbarge collection would continue as normal.
Both Cedar Falls and Waterlo declared snow emergencies, Cedar Falls lasting until 4 p.m. Wed. and Waterloo through 6 a.m. Thursday.
Cedar Falls and Waterloo schools both cancelled classes, as did St. Patrick's, Valley Lutheran and Cedar Valley Catholic Schools, as well as Hawkeye Community College. The University of Northern Iowa was to all appearances carrying on as normal Wednesday morning.

Update 10 p.m. Tuesday:
The City of Cedar Falls has declared a snow emergency from 2 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
During a snow emergency, residents should not park on roads marked "snow emergency route." You can find a full list of affected streets at the city's website.

As another winter storm bears down on Iowa, cancellations and delays have already begun.
A Cedar Falls School Board work session scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled. The meeting was meant to discuss the possibility of a new high school for Cedar Falls.
The next work session regarding the issue will be February 5 at 6 p.m.
