Winter Storm Saturn Heads for Cedar Falls, Much of Rest of Iowa as Winter Storm Warning Issued

Another six to 10 inches - or more - of snow could drop on Black Hawk County Monday and Tuesday.

Ready for some more snow, Cedar Falls?

No? Too bad - another winter storm, this one dubbed "Winter Storm Saturn" by the Weather Channel, is headed our way.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Black Hawk County and much of the rest of Iowa. The warning begins at 12 a.m. Monday and lasts until noon Tuesday.

We can expect moderate snow Sunday night, lasting through mid-morning Monday. More snow is predicted to fall overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, along with winds that could cause blowing and drifting snow Tuesday.

The National Weather Service predicts six to 10 inches of snow could fall, or even higher amounts in the north and northeast part of the state.

But then again, last week's Winter Storm Rocky was only predicted to drop a couple of inches of snow on the area. Instead we were slammed with about a foot. Only time will tell if the new predictions are correct and if March will truly come in like a lion.
