  1. A Des Moines bake sale raised over $12,000 to support the people of Ukraine. Nearly 400 people came out to Pete Crivaro Park on Sunday, buying homemade Eastern European pastries. The fundraiser was hosted by the nonprofit Iowans for Ukrainians, which aims to provide direct support to Ukrainians. (KCCI Des Moines)
  2. Dogpatch Urban Gardens, a Des Moines-based market garden, has launched a Kickstarter for an upcoming expansion project. Dogpatch hopes to raise $50,000 to build new greenhouses and hopes to begin construction as early as next month. The fundraiser has raised over $32,000 of its goal so far. (KCCI Des Moines)

  • According to the US National Weather Service Des Moines Iowa, the threat of severe weather is increasing for tonight. Much of western Iowa into central Iowa now lies under an enhanced risk for severe weather including the potential for tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds. (Facebook)
