- After last month's fatal shooting outside of East High School, all Des Moines high schools will host "Community Conversations." The events will discuss how the community can help one another heal and feel safe. The first conversation will happen on Apr. 28 at East High School. (Iowa Public Radio)
- A West Des Moines bartender helped reunite a woman with her missing dog. After Riley Pilch's dog vanished from her home, she wrote a post on Facebook asking for help.
