Concert News: Journey, Def Leppard, Fallout Boy, Jason Aldean
Several big arena concert tours will make stops in Des Moines in 2018.

DES MOINES, IA — The concert announcements are heating up in Des Moines this winter with news this week of three more big shows coming to Wells Fargo Arena this spring, summer and fall.
Country superstar Jason Aldean announced on his website that his 34-city “High Noon Neon” tour will make a stop in Des Moines May 12, according to his website. Des Moines is the third stop on the tour for the Academy of Country Music’s reigning Entertainer of the Year, who will be joined by Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina. Show and ticket information is not yet available on the arena website.
Journey and Def Leppard will co-headline for a concert July 23 and their tour brings the bands equal billing, with them alternating which group opens and closes. Tickets go on sale in February. The '80s bands have not toured here together previously, but both are Iowa regulars, having headlined separately and as part of joint tours with other bands. Journey was last in Des Moines in 2016 and Def Leppard in 2017, both co-headlining with other groups, according to the Des Moines Register. Their 2018 tour will include 58 cities.
