Des Moines Mom 'Is Awesome' & 'Shares Herself With The Less Fortunate'

DES MOINES, IA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

She's awesome, per her daughter. She has spa days, she enjoys just our talking time, she shares herself with the less fortunate. She's taught me to share what I have, she helps people all over the world, especially small children. I love my mama, more than anyone other than "GOD," HE goes first always, and she taught me that.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

Because she's the Mom "GOD" sent to me.
