This is not a certification course. It is only instructional and intended to introduce participants to the basics of conducting prescribed fires. All class participants will have the option of joining the department's prescribed fire volunteer list to be invited to help conduct burns in county parks in the future.

The class is co-sponsored by Pheasants Forever and is open to anyone wanting to learn more about prescribed burning or who wants to volunteer with the department on future burns.
