A traditional Thanksgiving meal will be served at 6 p.m. and anyone in need of a winter coat or a hot meal is welcome. The winter clothing distribution includes more than 150 coats, heavy sweatshirts, blankets, hats, gloves and other items—available while supplies last, with a limit one item per person.

Funding for these items was provided by Polk County, the Sisters of St. Francis, Casey’s and individual donors. This is the second year Catholic Worker House has offered coats and winter gear, and organizers hope to continue this service annually.
