Las Vegas Shooting: Iowa Mother Of 2 Confirmed Dead As Husband Heads To Nevada To Search
Carly Kreibaum, attending the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival with two friends, was among those shot and killed, a family member confirmed.

SUTHERLAND, IA — A northwest Iowa woman who had been reported missing following the Las Vegas shooting is among the victims of the massacre, a family member confirmed Tuesday. Carly Kreibaum of Sutherland, a town of about 600, had been in Las Vegas with two friends and was at the concert Sunday night when the shooting took place.
Friends and relatives learned Monday that Kreibaum and her friends became separated at the concert as people fled and shortly after Kreibaum was hit by a bullet, the Sioux City Journal reported.
Kreibaum's sister-in-law, Sarah Rohwer, confirmed her death Tuesday, according to Siouxland television station KTIV.

A publicly available photo on Kreibaum's Facebook page, shared more than 5,000 times by friends and acquaintances as the family awaited word on her location, showed Kreibaum with two friends outside a Las Vegas hotel Sunday afternoon. Comments posted Tuesday night on the photo offer condolences, prayers and support to the family.

Early Tuesday morning, Kreibaum's husband, Chris, posted on his Facebook page that he was heading to Las Vegas to try to locate her since she had not been heard from since the shooting.
The Sutherland community held a prayer service Monday when it was learned that Kreibaum was missing. The Sutherland Church of Christ reported on its Facebook page that she had been shot, but not located.
According to Carly Kreibaum's Facebook page, she graduated from Sibley-Ocheyedan High School and in 2006 graduated from Wayne State College and married Chris Kreibaum. She was the mother of two.
