Here are the top three stories in Des Moines today:
- A murder trial is currently underway for two of the three men who are charged with the killing of three teens on Des Moines’ south side in 2020. Emmanuel Totaye Jr. and Daishawn Gills are being tried for the triple homicide while the third suspect, Leontreal Jones, is being tried separately. The victims, Devonte Swanks, Malachi Swanks, and Thayne Wright, were all found dead inside a home on East Hackley in Des Moines on the night of Jan. 30, 2020. (KCCI Des Moines)

- If you regularly travel to West Des Moines, you will have to find a new route as a major roadway undergoes repairs. Starting Monday, the bridge on Ashworth Road over I-80 will be closed to all traffic, cutting off the closest routes to the interstate and the north side from Jordan Creek. Construction crews are already making progress on Ashworth Road over I-80. It's part of a project that began last year to expand Ashworth to five lanes from Jordan Creek Parkway to Grand Prairie Parkway. (KCCI Des Moines)
