One Person Dead Following Two-Vehicle Crash Thursday In Des Moines
The driver of a car hit broadside by a pickup truck in a Des Moines intersection Thursday later died at a local hospital.
DES MOINES, IA — A Thursday afternoon auto accident at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Clark Street has claimed the life of one of the drivers. The other driver reportedly was not injured.
KCCI reported that witnesses told police a gray pickup truck heading southbound on MLK failed to stop at a red light and hit the eastbound car broadside. The driver of the car initially was reported in serious condition and taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Police have not released the identify of the victim or the driver of the pickup truck. The investigation is ongoing.
