Arthur Lee Land to Perform at Iowa City's Englert Theater on Sunday

The family-friendly performance is part of fundraiser for the old theater.

Arthur Lee Land will be performing at the at 4 p.m., Sunday.

The one-man band has made a name for himself with a technique he calls "live looping," in which he captures sounds of different instruments and loops them together to create his own beat.

"Arthur Lee Land is a dynamic performer, whose obsession with cutting edge technology and years of one-man shows have allowed him to perfect The Art of Live-Looping and emerge as a global expert in this 21st century live performance art-form, dropping jaws across the country," the Englert website says.

The family-friendly show is a benefit for the Englert.

The "intimate show" will include Land and attendees on stage together. Floor seating is first come, first serve with additional seating on the ground level and orchestra.

Tickets cost $8 for general admission and $5 for children younger than 18. There are also ticket packages for family and parents. Contact the box office or go online for tickets.
