Map: Four Bus Routes to be Disrupted by Madison Street Road Construction

Effective Wednesday, March 6th and until further notice, the Broadway and Cross Park routes will detour on both the inbound and outbound trips using Burlington Street to Riverside Drive to Benton Street due to road work on Madison Street.

Effective Wednesday, March 6th and until further notice, the Broadway and Cross Park routes will detour on both the inbound and outbound trips using Burlington Street to Riverside Drive to Benton Street due to road work on Madison Street. 

There are six affected bus stops, three outbound and three inbound. The closed outbound stops are located at Court Street and Capitol Street (stop 7077), Capitol Street and Prentiss Street (stop 7075), and adjacent to City Carton on Capitol Street (stop 7073). The affected inbound stops located at Capitol Street and Prentiss Street (stop 7074), Capitol Street and Harrison Street (stop 7076), and at Court Street and Madison Street (stop 7078). Customers who normally use the closed outbound stops can use the stop located at the UI Library (stop 7080) on Madison Street as an alternate. Customers who normally use the closed inbound stops can use the stop located Benton Street and Capitol Street (stop 7072) as an alternate. In addition, a temporary bus stop will be placed on the south side of the intersection of Benton Street and Capitol Street. 

The inbound Southside Shuttle and the inbound Mall route will detour using Clinton Street to Burlington Street and will not service stop 7078 located at Court Street and Madison Street, but will service the stop at the Lindquist Center.

A map of the detour will be posted on buses, at the Transit Annex and can be seen below in a PDF format. A follow-up notice will be posted once normal service has resumed.
