Iowa City President's Day City Services Open and Closed Schedule

City administrative offices at City Hall will be closed on Monday, February 18 in observance of President's Day. The following holiday schedules will be in effect for other City departments or divisions:

Airport: The office will be closed. Jet Air will be open normal hours, from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Self-service fuel will be available around the clock.

Animal Center: Closed

Landfill: Closed

Library: Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Parks and Recreation: The Robert A. Lee Recreation Center and Mercer Pool / Scanlon Gym will be open regular hours, but Recreation / Registration offices at both facilities will be closed.

Police: Administration and Records offices will be closed, but Patrol operations will operate on a normal schedule.

Senior Center: The Senior Center will be closed. Senior meals will not be served or delivered.

Solid Waste: There will be no curbside collection of refuse and recycling on Monday, February 18. Residents on the Monday route should have materials at the curb by 7 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, although the City cannot determine exactly what time the items will be collected. Residents on the Tuesday through Friday routes should follow their normal schedule, and have materials at the curb by 7 a.m.

Transportation (Parking and Transit): The Transportation Office in Tower Place, 335 E. Iowa Avenue, will be open. Regular operations will be in effect for the Parking Division. Parking facilities will be cashiered and parking regulations will be enforced. The Transit Division will operate on a normal weekday schedule.

Water: The Water Division will be closed. In case of a water emergency, call the 24-hour emergency number at 319/356-5166.

City offices and operations will return to normal schedules on Tuesday, February 19.
