There are several events going on to celebrate Veterans Day in the Iowa City Area

Here are events you may consider attending to celebrate Veterans Day.
- Collin Raaz will be honored at Veterans Day concert. Music director Greg Grove leads his choral program with a Veterans Day concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 11 at City High'sOsptad Auditorium.
- "Telling: Iowa City,” a performance/production is at 7:30 p.m., Thursday Nov. 10 at University of Iowa Theater Building, Theater B, on North Riverside Drive. This is an original play based on the experiences of Iowa veterans, performed by the veterans themselves. America has been at war for more than 10 years, but with less than 1 percent of the population serving in the military, the veterans among us go largely unseen. Tickets to this performance are free, and they can be reserved by calling (319) 594-9051, or emailing info@workinggrouptheatre.org.
- Veterans for Peace Armistice Day Observance are holding an event at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 at the Old Capitol. Bells will ring at 11 a.m. Free lunch to follow at .
- "Proud To Be An American" extravaganza dance and show runs from 6 to 11 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11 at Iowa City Moose Lodge, 3151 Highway 6 E. Free Admission for U.S. military veterans.
