Nine City High School Students Move on as National Merit Finalists, Three in the Running for Presidential Scholarships

Congrats to the City High School students who have been honored for their academic achievements.

Nine City High seniors have been selected to be National Merit Finalists.

Students: Zhishen (JuJu) Wang and Francesca Lubecki-Wilde, Sophia Opitz, Abram Nothnagle, Avery Mossman, Gabrielle Bui, Lily Howard, Cassie Wassink and Sophia Peterson.

These students were chosen from a pool of 16,000 National Merit Semi-Finalists to advance to the level of National Merit Finalists in competition for National Merit Scholarships. Approximately 8,300 Merit Scholarship winners will be announced in April, May and July.

City High Students Advance in Presidential Scholarship Competition: Three City High students have advanced as candidates in the prestigious Presidential Scholars competition. Being named a Presidential Scholar in one of the highest possible academic honors for a high school student in the United States.
