Chimney Fire Results in Man Arrested for Manufacturing Marijuana: Johnston Police Blotter

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls Jan. 18 and Jan. 20. Take a look at the reports.

Jan. 18
A 34-year-old woman reported her daughter's boyfriend was at her residence and was refusing to leave. Subject was gone when officers arrived.

Jan. 20
Justin Kightlinger, 21, was arrested after police officers found marijuana plants in the basement. The marijuana was first found when the fire department responded to a call of a chimney fire.

A 20-year-old woman reported being harassed by her boyfriend after she asked him to move out of the apartment they shared.
