Johnston High School's Synergy and Innovation Kick-Off Show Choir Competition Saturday

Synergy and Innovation come together Saturday to kick-off the Johnston High School Show Choir competition.

The two groups will each perform at the Linn-Mar Supernova competition Saturday.

Next, the groups will host the annual Johnston Showzam! Competition Jan. 18-19. 

Innovation, made up of students in tenth to twelfth grade, combines elements of singing, dancing and performing in a 20-minute show.

Synergy, also made up of student in tenth to twelfth grades, combines elements of singing, dancing and performing in a 15-minute show.

Both groups compete in shows in January, February and March, the season is capped with an end of the year show in the spring.
