Johnston Police Blotter Rewind: Bar Fight, Stolen Tools

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls Feb. 14 to Feb. 24. Take a look at the reports.

Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Feb. 14
A 16-year-old girl was charged with harassing a male subject. The female had been previously advised by an officer not to have future contact with the man.

Bank of the West reported receiving a counterfeit $50 bill.

Feb. 15
A man was cited for allowing his dog to run at large and for the dog not having a rabies vaccination.

Feb. 16
Officers were dispatched to a residence in regard to a verbal domestic dispute between a husband and wife.

Feb. 18
A mother reported her juvenile son ran away in Chicago when they were both visiting the city.

Feb. 20
A 49-year-old man reported his daughter had left her phone at the grocery store and the pone was gone when she returned to look for it.

Feb. 21
A tree service company reported someone broke into their trailer that was parked on a storage lot and stole approximately $30,000 worth of tree trimming tools.

Officers were dispatched to a dispute between a husband and wife.

Feb. 22
Subway, 6110 Northwest 86th Street, reported they were missing four days worth of deposits that an employee was to have deposited in the bank.

Laura Lilly, 45, was arrested on a Des Moines warrant.

Two Johnston High SChool students were charged with disorderly conduct for fighting in class.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a call about a bar patron being assaulted outside of Pickett's Pub. Both parties admitted to hitting the other, no witnesses and conflicting statements. No charges.

Jan. 23
Janice Doscher, 34, was arrested for driving while barred.

Jan. 24
A 40-year-old man reported someone had opened a checking and savings account in his name and social security number.
