Johnston Police Blotter Rewind: Public Intoxication, Leaving the Scene of an Accident
The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls March 9 and March 14. Take a look at the reports.

Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.
March 9
Hy-Vee requested an officers assistance with an intoxicated female. No charges were filed.
March 11
Officers took a report of an assault on a care giver by a 15-year-old male resident. The victim did not wish to press charges.
A 54-year-old man reported being assaulted by a student at Youth Homes of Mid America. The male juvenile was charged with simple assault.
Lisa Sheridan, 50, was charged with public intoxication.
Jason Ponx, 31, was arrested for reckless driving and open container.
March 12
A 23-year-old woman reported her iPhone was stolen form the school she attends.
A 22-year-old man reported his vehicle was damaged when someone broke off his rear windshield wiper while it was parked at his residence.
March 13
William Jones, 51, was cited for driving while suspended and his vehicle was impounded.
Stephen Foutch, 22, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, driving while suspended and failure to stop in a safe and sure distance.
March 14
Phillip Duke, 32, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, interference with official acts and given citations for open container, speeding and violation of liability coverage.
Officers dispatched to residence in regards to assault in progress. Female subject arrested for assault with a weapon, which was a hammer, and child endangerment when victim reported 2 year old child was next to offender when she brandished the hammer.
March 15
Norman Thiesse, 47, was charged with trespassing after entering the property in the 6000 Block of Meadow Crest Drive with the intent of window peeping. He was originally trespassed from the property in 2011.
