Johnston Police Blotter Rewind: Stolen Wallet, Stolen Car

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls March 15 and March 20. Take a look at the reports.

Editor's note: All information is provided by the Johnston Police Department in incident reports through March 23. Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

March 15
A 64-year-old man reported his wallet was found and turned in. When wallet was returned to victim he reported it was stolen from his vehicle that was parked at his residence. Victim later reported his credit cards were missing and someone had made fraudulent charges on his card.

March 18
Jennifer King, 34, was arrested for theft. Lithia Motors reported a female subject purchased a vehicle using a check on a closed account.

March 19
Officers were called to Bilbrey Insurance in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle frequently shows up in the parking lot of a business. Business requested driver be trespassed from their property.

March 20
Officers responded to an alarm at Hyperion Field Club. Someone had attempted to break into the Hyperion Field Club. Not items were taken.

A 38-year-old man reported someone had stolen his tires and rims from his vehicle that was parked outside of an auto service building.

March 20
Arianna Benitez, 34, was arrested for driving while revoked and cited for speeding.

March 21
Officers dispatched to residence in regards to domestic dispute between husband and wife. No charges were filed.

A 49-year-old man reported his Starcraft boat and trailer were stolen from his apartment parking lot.

Timothy Desplinter, 23, was arrested and charged with possession of schedule 1 and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 22
Officers were dispatched to a residence in regards to a boyfriend refusing to leave. The boyfriend reported being assaulted by the girlfriend but did not want to press charges.

March 23
Officers were dispatched in regards to a domestic dispute between a husband and wife.
