Johnston Running Club Presents Donation From Mayor's Trail Run
The first Mayor's Trail Run was held the second weekend in November.

Johnston trails received a little boost in funding Monday night.
The Johnston Running Club presented a $1,100 check to the city council for use on the city's trails.
The funds were raised in November during the first Mayor's Trail Run.

"The weather was beautiful," said club president John Urban. "We had hoped for 40 to 50 participants but we had 88 people."
Mayor Paula Dierenfeld, who accepted the donation, said the even was fun and had a great turnout.

The run received a lot of positive feedback, leading organizers to begin planning for next year's event.
